@mecscomms is recruiting for an Executive Support Technician to support on-site technology operations & deliver exceptional IT & AV support for top executives. You'll be the technical go-to for all things desktop, mobility, conferencing & event support, helping ensure every meeting, presentation & executive technology need runs without a hitch. Role Type:                   Temporary, Full Time, Contract

 

Status:                         Inside IR35

 

Duration:                     12 months +

 

Hours:                          Monday - Friday 9.00 - 17.30

 

Start date:                    ASAP

 

Rate:                            £30 - £40 per hour DOE

  • Technology support for high-profile executives & board members
  • Windows & macOS technology infrastructure, Cloud Desktop & BYOD mobility solutions
  • Configure & operate video & audio conferencing systems
  • Pre-event testing & board meeting application configuration
  • Technical consultation & expert troubleshooting
  • Provide live support, remote assistance & multi-platform integration
  • Manage executive technology via enterprise ticketing systems & change control processes
  • Support corporate events with multimedia technology
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, offering strategic technology guidance & support

 

Summary:

 

We're seeking a highly skilled IT professional to lead on complex executive technology delivery from pre-configuration to post-event performance analysis. You'll support global-scale executive operations, provide technical solutions to challenging setups & operate at the intersection of enterprise technology & executive customer service. The role requires strong technical skills, deep understanding of executive workflows, & fluency across the industry's most advanced corporate technology systems.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Executive Technology Setup, Operation & Support

 

  • Execute flawless technology delivery across Windows & macOS desktops/laptops, smartphones, tablets & video conferencing
  • Configure & operate board meeting applications, Cloud Desktop solutions, BYOD mobility platforms
  • Provide high-level executive technology support including traditional & modern collaboration tools
  • Implement advanced presentation & meeting technology with remote access capabilities
  • Conduct daily system checks, testing & validation to ensure executive technology readiness

 

Testing, Troubleshooting & Maintenance

 

  • Provide expert-level technology diagnostics & component-level support
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10, macOS, Microsoft O365, Teams, Zoom, network routing & desktop video conferencing
  • Update software/firmware across all executive technology platforms & endpoints
  • Own configuration of JAMF, packaged software & cross-platform network solutions

 

Customer Engagement & Event Delivery

 

  • Provide in-person & remote technology support to senior executives & board members
  • Design technology system configurations & propose enhancements based on executive needs
  • Deliver tech walk-throughs & training to executives & board secretaries
  • Collaborate across facilities, IT, engineering, & executive support teams

 

Technology Infrastructure & Implementation Support

 

  • Assist with commissioning & deployment of integrated executive technology systems
  • Support multimedia/audio-visual technology integration, Cisco & Poly VC devices
  • Work with internal engineers & vendors on technology upgrades & system improvements
  • Research & implement new technology in collaboration with Product & Engineering partners

 

Asset, Documentation & Inventory Management

 

  • Maintain documentation, technology usage logs & operational procedures
  • Track asset health, software licenses & performance metrics for continuous improvement
  • Document system configuration & changes for service continuity
  • Create, own & update supporting documentation related to organizational policies & procedures

 

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

 

  • Contribute to process development, system design feedback, & post-event analysis
  • Recommend infrastructure upgrades & integration of new cloud-based technology solutions
  • Participate in regular technology audits & innovation planning
  • Demonstrate Agile methodology & meet project deadlines within company tracking tools

 

Health, Safety & Compliance

 

  • Ensure all technology activities align with organizational policies & corporate compliance
  • Apply secure data practices in executive environments
  • Maintain executive technology environments to meet security & operational standards

 

Candidate Profile:

 

We are looking for an Executive Support Technician with extensive practical experience across executive technology support, desktop management, mobility solutions & corporate AV. Your skills & attributes are likely to include some or all of the following:

 

  • 3+ years' experience supporting VIP/Executive user base in medium to large organizations
  • Microsoft Windows 10 Certification
  • macOS Support Essentials
  • JAMF 200 and/or JAMF 300 Certification
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Certification
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation
  • Strong background in Windows 10, macOS, Microsoft O365, OneDrive, Teams, Zoom
  • Experience with Network Routing, Remote Access & Desktop Video Conferencing
  • Proficiency in smartphone & tablet support including mobile device operating systems
  • Experience with BYOD personal productivity tools & mobile device management
  • Cisco & Poly VC device support experience
  • Apple Mac technology expertise (macOS, JAMF, packaged software, hardware issues)
  • Cross-platform & network troubleshooting knowledge
  • Board meeting application & multimedia/audio-visual technology experience
  • Strong client-facing skills & executive customer service capability
  • Corporate event support & crisis management capability
  • Able to advise on executive technology design, cloud migration, & integration
  • Flexibility for domestic & international travel requirements
