@mecscomms is recruiting for a Cybersecurity Pre Sales Consultant on behalf of a fast-growing technology business solving the connectivity and cyber security infrastructure challenges of some of the world’s biggest brands. Working on behalf a global IT, ICT, Technology, Cloud, & Collaboration managed service provider, this Security Solutions Pre Sales Consultant position will engage with C level customers to present technical solutions to business issues including digital transformation, adapting to hybrid working or experience rapid growth. If you have expertise in cyber security pre-sales with Knowledge of SSE, SASE, SD-WAN, SIEM, EDR, MDR, M365 Security, Sentienl, Defender and IT infrastructure (LAN/WiFi, SD-WAN), I'm keen to hear from you.

Purpose: Help sales to clarify & close potential opportunities through high level technical consulting & needs analysis. Deliver technical solution proposals & presentations, building credibility through effective customer engagement. Technically present Cybersecurity, SSE, SASE, SD-WAN, SIEM, EDR, MDR, M365 Security, Sentienl, Defender solutions to customers.
Duration: Permanent, full time
Salary: up to £65,000 - £70,000 + £8K bonus & benefits
Location: Central London office, 3 days a week, 2 days working from home

Overview:
The role will deliver a robust commercial & technical pre sales resource to support sales, marketing & business development efforts in the pursuit of large enterprise deals for major corporate prospects.
A technical & hands on pre sales & solutions architect role, the position will provide strategic, operational & technical expertise for major bid prospects, encompasses managing the full 360 degrees of solutions consulting, pre sales & input into bid management for RFI, ITT, RFQ and statement of works activity. It will involve a heavy amount of customer facing pre sales activity & ownership of complex technical solutions architecture design & development.
You can expect to be engaged throughout the entire pre-sales process including gathering client’s business requirements, converting these business requirements into technical solutions, producing appropriate solution design & scope of works documentation and presenting engaging solutions proposals to customers, to ensure their buy-in.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-sales solutions engagement with UK businesses (fin-tech, high tech, prof services) for Cybersecurity and IT infrastructure
- Collaboratively work with Sales & other teams to help convert opportunities to sales
- Support Account Management teams in sales meetings, client presentations and web conferences
- Capture & interpret customer requirements through conducting workshops
- Scope business needs and identify technical solutions to those needs
- Managed Security Solutions Design – SSE/SASE/SD-WAN/SIEM/EDR/MDR, M365 Security, Sentienl and Defender.
- Modern Workplace infrastructure design – LAN/WiFi
- Produce & present technical presentations & associated design documentation including; scope of works, diagrams, BoM, commercial summaries, tender responses, RFIs/RFPs, bids, LLD, HLD etc .
- Forecast delivery timescales, project plans and implementation methods
- Identify and document any risks to the solution
- Engage effectively with customer stakeholders to gain credibility
- Provide product, service and technology training to the sales teams
Candidate profile:
Candidates must have previous Pre Sales Consulting experience gained with a Telco, Carrier, ISP, Managed IT, Service Provider, Managed Hosting, Cloud, Systems / Network Integrator or similar type of consultancy, whereby your experience is likely to include as much of the following as possible:
- Technical experience of designing complex Cyber Security & IT Infrastructure solutions in a Consultancy based role
- Advanced cybersecurity services including SSE, SASE, SIEM, MDR/EDR, M365 Security, Sentinel, Defender
- Solutions design experience - modern workplace infrastructure - SD-WAN, LAN, WiFi & Cybersecurity
- Experience in recommending and designing solutions to meet compliance requirements such as CE/CE+/ISO27001
- Cisco, Meraki & Fortinet, M365 Security experiences
- Natural problem-solving ability
- Must be confident and capable of presenting and running client workshops
- Influential and engaging with customers and stakeholders
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
