@mecscomms is hiring for a remote based- home working, Network Infrastructure Project Manager to work for a global Technology, Telecoms & Communications managed service provider. The project manager will deliver bespoke WAN & LAN network solutions & customer deployments for multiple enterprise, mid-tier & public sector customers. If you have expertise in project managing the deployment & rollout of telecoms technology solutions across WAN Networking infrastructure, UnifiedComms, Cloud & Managed Network services, I'm keen to hear from you.

Purpose: Project manage the delivery & implementation of Network, Infrastructure, UC, Collaboration & Cloud solutions into customer accounts

Location: Work from home – remote working - anywhere UK

Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30

Overview:

The project manager will take ownership for the full 360 degrees of the project lifecycle from presales though to customer acceptance & handover to operations. The role will encompass project planning (scoping, requirements, resources etc.), defining goals & deliverables, communication & management of the project brief, matrix management of teams, resources & 3rd parties, technical delivery & integration, time & cost controls & a significant amount of customer facing, stakeholder engagement & management activity.

The project manager role will be responsible for the implementation, deployment & service delivery of new & bespoke solutions into customer accounts. These solutions will include a variety of telecommunications, networks & hosted infrastructure services.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of a multi-disciplined team the role holder will provide project management input from pre-sales support activities through to operational delivery & transition into support. The Project Manager will make critical strategic & operational business decisions throughout the full project lifecycle including.

• Direct & manage projects from beginning to end

• Define project scope, requirements, goals & deliverables

• Estimate project resource requirements

• Draft budget proposals

• Develop project plans & communications documents

• Clearly communicate project expectations to teams & stakeholders

• Consistently liaise with project stakeholders

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects

• Manage projects within schedule, scope, budget & quality parameters

• Monitor, report on & meet project objectives & commitments

• Diagnoses, evaluate & eliminate project risks

• Provide a point of escalation for problems

• Manage compliance, contingency & risk situations

• Monitor & manage cost effectiveness of all project resources

• Expand the knowledge base within the Practice area

• Gain sign off & customer acceptance

• Post project evaluation

• Project reporting

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must have previous Telecoms Project Management experience gained with a Telco, Carrier, ISP, Network Service Provider, Managed Hosting, Cloud, Systems / Network Integrator or similar type of technology managed services provider, whereby your experience is likely to include some of the following:

• Managing the full project life cycle

• Large-scale, bespoke customer solution implementations

• Delivering complex technology integration projects

• Working with large enterprise, mid-tier & public sector customers

• Managing projects to time, cost & quality objectives

• Budget / P&L / financial analysis skills

• Matrix management of service delivery teams

• Strong stakeholder management, planning & organisational skills

• Cisco technology stack; Routers, Switching, Load balancers, Firewalls, Access Control Systems etc.

• Networks & Connectivity: WAN, Internet, Ethernet, IP Networking, IPVPN, MPLS, DIA, PSTN, ADSL, FTTC, EoFTTC, EAD, ISDN, SIP, SD-WAN, NFV etc.

• It is ideal but not essential to have a formal project management certification or technical qualification such as Prince2, Prince II Practitioner, MSP or Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIP

• Candidates should be able to drive & be willing to travel
