The human resources HR business partner will work with the senior leadership team to nurture, develop & manage talent across the organisation, involved in the full 360 degrees of the employee lifecycle. You will develop, lead & champion a number of HR initiatives, including the provision of tactical guidance & counsel in the areas of HR best practice, business planning, business strategy, change management, employee relations, HR operations & commercial viability etc. You will drive operational effectiveness, whilst increasing productivity & improving people engagement through the delivery of efficient HR operations. The role will include a significant amount of customer facing, stakeholder engagement & management activity alongside the provision of robust HR operations & administration services. Acting as a team leader & coach, you will also manage & develop 2 HR administrators as direct reports.

With over 20 years’ experience in the market, they have developed a comprehensive product suite comprising Networks, Infrastructure, Cloud, Hosting, Unified Comms, Collaboration, Cyber Security, Enterprise Mobility Security & Managed IT services. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of circa 700 colleagues throughout the UK, dedicated to delivering managed outsource technology services to a wide range of customers including; large enterprise, mid-tier, SME’s & the public sector.
Reporting to the HR Director, this Human Resources Officer role is accountable for undertaking a wide range of generalist & operational HR duties. To facilitate the achievement of business objectives & to drive organisational development, the role will:
# Partner the leadership team to provide practical, operational & strategic HR advice
# Develop a deep & thorough understanding of the business
# Support performance management & ensure individuals have clear objectives & development plans
# Consistently applying employee relations, disciplinary & grievance procedures
# Support performance management processes
# Stay abreast of Employment law, legislation & compliance requirements
# Comply with applicable HR best practices, employment law & associated legislation etc.
# Design, develop & integrate HR policy & best practices into operational procedures
# Manage the HR service centre & administration function
# Oversee compensation, benefit & payroll activities
# Lead succession & contingency planning
# Support learning, development & employee engagement activity
# Participate in change management & project management initiatives
# Improve people processes & policies
# Support the HR Director & wider human resources team in the achievement of departmental goals
To be considered for this opportunity candidates should possess previous Human Resources experience covering similar responsibly to those outlined above. You should have very strong operational management skills & a natural ability to organise workflows & maintain centralised records within an administrative function.
Ideally you will have had exposure to IT, Technology, Cloud Computing, Service Desk, Call Centre or other similar customer centric, technical environments. Experience within a managed services provider is equally beneficial.
Practical experience is most important however any CIPD accreditation or relevant degree i.e. Human Resources, Business Management, Organisational Behaviour, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Psychology would be beneficial. You should be familiar & experienced with:
